can't go wrong with these instructions.

you'll wanna scroll down to the "Bedding-in Club Race or Full Race Pads" section since the spec vr's are such a pad.

IIRC, do about 4 to 5 quick brake applications from 60mph to 10 mph without completely stopping, then 4 to 5 more from 80 mph to 10 mph, you should smell the brakes.

Slow the car without letting the brakes come to a complete stop or using the parking brake. Park it and let cool over night. Then you should be good to go.

You don't neccessarily need to cool them overnight but it' good to get everything completely cooled down.

I followed Cobalt's instructions when I broke in my new Spec B pads with new rotors at my last track day.

I was really easy on them for the first couple of laps and then gradually increased pressure and adjusting my braking points.

I got a really bad wobble in the steering wheel in the first session - which made me think I warped my rotors - but it was probably uneven deposition of pad material on the face of the rotor. It was so bad the steering wheel moved back and forth an inch or so on application of the brakes.

It was a little troubling to me - so I let the brakes cool down and devised a new strategy. I tried dragging my brakes (heat them up) down the front straight - when I entered the track before the first turn.

Then I gradually increased the pressure on the brakes throughout the next session.

All the vibration went away and I soon started enjoying these new pads.

Combined with my new A048Rs - the combo was awesome!

I did the break in on the street, but when I got to the track I had to redo it. I was unable to get the correct heat build up on the street and felt the difference. If your going to use them for track, then just wait for your first session to bed them in.

As for the procedure , I forgot

They make those brakes for go-karts? Coool!

Anyhow, a good-morning HPDE session seems to work pretty well.

Haha no it's not for the kart. I did mention making a pad for the karts a while back to Andie though!
