let's see. youre running 270s? stock pump? you'd rather adjust the aftermarket fuel reg than replacing it with the stock one. make it about 45psi on the gauge... how do you know it runs super rich? do you have a WB? or you just feel it runs rich? does it smell like gasoline all over when you start the engine?

Have you looked at your plugs? What color are they?

I don't mean to discredit your knowledge of cars, but if your not 100% sure your running rich, start the car and unplug your IAC. If it tries to die when you unplug it, your IAC works, if not the IAC is bad, or you have your plugs on the wrong sensor.

I say this because you mentioned that your car shuts off at idle.

yea i'm running the stock injectors. and the fuel pump is also stock. i was adjusting the aftermarket fuel reg but the vaccum part broke off so i just put the stocker back on. i dont got a fuel gauge is there another way to check the fuel pressure. and when i try to start it up it takes a while then it starts up and a cloud of smoke comes out of my exhaust and it smells like gas. and it wont idle it dies out then the same thing happends i start it up and another cloud of smoke comes out. and when i take off normal in first. it makes this werid sound like theres to much gas in the cylinder. and it makes a little poping noise but it doesnt back fire. and it hesitates abit till i punch it

naw its coo bro, i'll try to check the plug on the iac or see if i have the plugs on wrong. but as for the spark plugs i havent checked them yet i'm going to do that right know. i just got the car and it had a msd 6a hooked up and i disconnected it. the car was running fine when it had the 6a it would idle right below 1k with no problems.

Cool, I thought you may have a problem with your sensors, or have the plugs on the wrong sensor.
