Above the classes it says,
"Engine diaper required for all 9.99 and faster cars and approved head and neck restraint system required for all 9.59 and faster cars."
Did I miss something? I thought the rule for both was 9.49.
Just asking a question and letting everyone know about it.

i talked to one of the officials at moroso and they said something about next year starting to make imports run a diaper if they are in the 11's. i guess they are tired of cleaning the track after the peanut cars make a pass
Not real special...just make a pan thats about 1" deep......and use a universal rectangular oil absorbant pad from RCI or something of the like...they are not requiring a kevlar engine debris restraint setup...just something to catch the oil and parts.....or atleast most of it....

howard. check out the pictures in the link in my sig.
we have a catch tray, but i think the "bodies" want an actual diaper for the motors.we are using these white absorbant pads, that we got from the GM dealer, the mechanics use them for spills

The listings in the RCI catalog are as follows....
Diaper or
SFI containment Diaper...
The Diaper is just for absorbing....Thats the way ours is...and when we went to Bristol I made sure that everything on the car passed tech...including the diaper....which just looks like yours....

So according to the page you posted:
General Rules:
All Pro cars and Sportsman Cars 9.59 and faster:
Engine Diaper or catch pan mandatory.
All Sportsman and pro cars 9.59 and faster:
Head and Neck restraint system mandatory.
So the rules are both at 9.59, not the diaper at 9.99?
Thats why I questioned it.
