Default smoking at high rpms

I have a 95 teg with a b18c swap. The car runs fine, uses about 1/4 quart oil over 3000 miles, and never smokes under normal use, but at my last autocross, I was told my car was smoking blue for the 1st couple seconds of my run while at high rpm. I checked my pcv valve and it was fine, and I have my vent from my valve cover running to a filter.
I am going to run a compression test, but i was curious if anyone else has run into this?

I do believe that is not a wise idea because that is used to keep the inside of your intake/IM clean, and to burn unburnt gases in the engine...

also i do believe blue means your running rich? ... i could be wrong.

I believe blue smoke usually indicates burning oil.

yes blue is oil burning. might wanna check your water too..see if theres any oil in there....might be a start of a cracked head gasket..it could be bad piston rings too not sealing good. but if it only at high RPM's i would think its your rings not sure tho. had that problem with my honda accord too...a machanic told me could be my rings. how old is the motor?

I got the same problem, I ran a compression and leakdown. Both came back fine, mech. is guessing valve guide seals

I don't know exactly how many miles the engine has on it, i got if from osakamotors in Jan. I have put about 10,000 miles on it. I've pulled the valve cover and the valve clearances were good and the inside of the engine is spotless.
The car runs strong, I just don't like driven around a blue smokin car..

humm.....well if it still runs good then i dont think you should have problems with the smoke..but its always better to be safe.

Im willing to bet that your valve seals or valve guides are worn out.
