Ok, it sucks when people hate on your car (spitting, keying, complementary badge shaving, etc) and itrs, especially those yellow ones, are magnets for haters which got me thinking. Considering the revered status most itr owners have for girls who are into cars perhaps making your car look like it was driven by a female when parking in public places would deter vandalism. Obviously this wouldn't be applicable if you live in a small community where you're the only itr or you’re parking at like a high school or something. But in larger communities like LA and NY, when parking in public places, maybe tossing a scrunchie around the shifter, a Cosmo on the passenger’s seat, and some funky glasses on the dash might deter would be haters. Anyways, just an idea that came to me and I thought I’d share. I’ll admit I didn’t do a search but hopefully this hasn’t been covered before -rob

LMAO!!!!!! The problem is you are relying on the fact that the thief has a conscience...and if they are out scouting cars to rip off, they obviously don't!

 

If you think that works, I can sell you lots of Hello Kitty car accessories. Including, pink Hello Kitty steering wheel cover with a white tail at the end, pink hand brake cover. Hello Kitty seat belt cover and Hello Kitty head rest cover. And yes, I can get you Hello Kitty, Pikachu or Tare Panda decals also.

If anything, I would think that a girl would be less careful with security issues and just make it a more tantalizing pick for any would-be thief. Girls don't worry about protecting their cars- "they're just transportation anyways " "Tee-hee, I liked the pretty yellow one so daddy bought it for me- tee-hee."

At least that's how I see girl owners (I know there are exeptions so don't flame a geralized truth)

 

i don't think it's possible to own an itr for "just transportation" regardless of what sex you are, remember the idea is it deters vandalism not theft; work with me here guys i mean stealing the badges off a chicks car is just low man -rob

 

LOL! Yes, it is. But ripping them off of an enthusiast's car is even lower IMO. And BTW, I know a girl with a PY ITR who is leasing it and to her it's just fun transportation for 3 years- never raced it, won't mod it. Her and I were discussing tires b/c we both need them, and she won't get anything with lower than a 50,000 mile rating.
