Talk about buying built. This is the deal, guys. Buy and go racing. It's as simple as that

Didn't you just get it back on track though?

Back on track? I'm confused.
I did encounter a loose sway bar link right before Sundays race... but Mr. Helms helped me fix that for good.
If your asking about the car... yeah, it had been stored in the back of Jedd's buddies shop for 8 months before I bought it. It made its return at Summit in July (pic #3) and did need some sorting (hence the ride height being waaay too high).

If I was going to get into an ITB car right now, it would be a very difficult choice between this and a Golf III like Knestis has.
Damn you people and your cheap racecars!

Uhhh... I appreciate it and all but mentioning me in the same breath as those guys is just kind of wrong.
REALLY nice car though.

It just cracks me up how drivers like you and Randy Pobst are just so modest.
You're an upcoming racing legend Giles - get used to it. The key is to accept the accolades with grace.
Scott, who can only dream of being mentioned in the same breath as Giles and Villeneuve and Nuvolari..."tell us more about how you learned about momentum Scott - may I call you Scott?"

Thats funny and all, but I've seen Blake and Tom do things I'm not even going to try. I usually finish on the pointy end, and I've had my moments, but those guys are on another planet.
Scott, who remembers watching Blake drive his car at the '03 ARRC and thinking "damn, the brake lights are busted" and later realized he just wasn't using them... In turn 1.
No thanks.

I know what you mean, and that you mean what you mean.
But lately I'm not so sure some of these guys actually come from another planet.
Last time I woulda swore a driver came from another planet it turned out to be an advantage in ground effect.
If they're truly going That much faster, then you can certainly go alot faster - excluding the possibility of significant technical advantage (which we shouldn't be too quick to exclude - a little is a lot).
Scott, who has probably learned more by following somebody faster than any other way - second I suppose has to be surviving the near fatal mistake....

For anyone that doesn't know, SCCA moved these cars down a class for 2005, from ITA (where it was kind of a dog) to ITB (where personally I think it's the car to have). I considered this car for myself but really just want out of the race car ownership business altogether.

Oh God the horror! It's old, and probably broken, but at least it's mid-1980s domestic stuff. That was some quality stuff right there.
That CRX I sold to Bowie was at one time going to be a 2006 car. Took me about a days worth of work on it to remember that I hate working on cars. 2006GRM is not the event for one who hates to work on cars.
Co-drives on race weekends and autocrosses in a nearly-new, stock class car. That's for me.
Anyway, vouch for John. He's, ah, "details focused" and I'm sure the car won't disappoint.

Edit on the post... forgot some mods.

It might be some the cars and some the drivers, but take notice that this car was consistently more than a few seconds per lap faster than Pablo and I...
It's obviously a good H5 car but it will be a great ITB car. (Edit - assuming that there aren't any HC-legal things that I don't understand, that won't be OK for IT.)

Nice Car. Sounds like my ITB Si I just wadded up at the Road Atl Test day three weeks ago. A couple of differences though. My car had a Mugen diff and the shortened Konis. BTW, Blake and I where going to share the car at this years ARRC and it would have been on the podium. No worries I'm in the process of building another.
Good luck with the sell.
