The car is a 97 GSR on Tein SS. I havent touched the suspension since I bought the car, but all of a sudden it is riding like crap. I can feel every little bump in the road. When i really get on it in 1st gear, the car is pulling all over the road. Anyone have the same experience? Any clue what may be wrong. I want to get this fixed before Honda Day.
Thanx in advacne.

yes. muuuch better than the 400/300 Koni/GC set up i had on my DA. if you do more street driving than track driving these would be perfect for you.

Let's start with free solutions and work up to costly ones:
1) Are the lugnuts all tight?
2) Tire inflation correct?
3) Tire/Wheel has missing wheel weight
4) Loose upper shock mounting
5) Alignment (could make the car dance under accel but probably not bumpy ride)
6) Blown shock
7) Severly worn bushings

1.yes
2.yes
3.no
4.checked, nope
5. done within the last 10,000 miles
6.doubt it, less than 10,000 on coilovers
7. checked, only 70,000 on car.
mechanic looked it over. looks like the only thing that needs replacing is the lower ball joints. well see if that clears the problem.

I have heard of the Tien SS getting blown in a short period of time if the drop was set too low...was your car slammed?
also check all your bushings...make sure they are all in good condition.

When a car is lowered I recommend getting an alignment every year or more. Heck I get an alignment almost every month since I autocross my car so much

the alignment seems fine. the car drives straight as an arrow. it is just really bumpy now for some reason. ill check the things mentioned here in the thread today.

is there any/alot of fluid leakage on the shock body?</TD></TR></TABLE>
all i really noticed was sand/dirt really. im going ti wipe it all off and see if anything else get on the shock when i drive it around.
if the shocks are in fact blown, anyone have any clue how much it would cost for Tein to rebuild them? would it be under warranty? there is no more than 10,000 miles on them.

well i took the entire suspension appart today, and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. no excess fluid or leakage or anything. when i pressed the shock down, it cam back up again kind of slowly. it wasnt very easy to push down unlike the stock shocks i picked up.
im going to have my regualer mechanic take a look at it this week. it seems to have gotten worse after the drive, and racing at Honda Day.
