why not just drop the tank? its pretty easy. just the two straps and take a couple hoses off. should take about 30min

thats really retarded, even if you opened it up you cant take it out. Theres lines that need to be unhook on the side of the tank.

maybe reattach the part you cut off, and have a lil trap door?

good luck

Why wouldn't you just drop the tank??? it's not even hard at all and definately not worth cutting up the car for.

*edit* didn't read it all the way, well i guess you do what you gotta do

nothing goes in that spot anyways , its behind the seats and before the spare tire compartment.

honda started having trap doors for 92 and up, so I don't see why this is a problem

Actually, I thought about doing the same thing but after replacing the fuel pump for the first time a few weeks ago i could probably do it again in like 30 min or less. The car and tank is small so it's not bad at all and I did it on the ground in my garage by myself. Would be easier on a hoist especially with a partner. I think you'd have to cut the hole a lot bigger than that though because of the hardline.
