Need B16 speedo ring gear around differential, questions...
Hello, I took my B16 differental out for repalcement for a LSD unit. I was very careful in taking off the stock ring gear from the diff. After successfully removing the ring, I heated the ring up with a torch so it would expand and go onto the LSD easily. But I guess I didnt heat it up enough because it was still dragging on the LSD pretty hard. I tapped it onto the LSD softly, 75% of it was on the LSD then the ring cracked. I went to honda to try and buy another one but there are no part numbers for the ring.
The guy told me I had to buy a whole diff. for the ring. So question is, where do I find this ring? There are no B16's at the local junkyard and I called GearSpeed but they dont have one for me. Does anybody know where I could buy one and does anybody know if it HAS to be a B16 gear? Are the GS, LS, GSR, ITR the same? I doubt they are but somebody please give me a confirmed answer. Thank you for your time...
Also, I would like to add that I did search with no helpful results.

I can tell you that the ITR LSD I purchased (with the speedo gear included) mated without issues to the VSS on my 1991 Integra. That's a pretty broad model and year gap. I'd guess they're all the same.
Yeah thats a big gap... sounds good, I'm still trying to find somebody willing to sell that or a blown tranny for parts. No places I called has it or know where I can get one. Called wreaking yards, and transmission shops.
You can often score LS diffs on the cheap (I sold one for $50 a while back), that's probably what I'd do. Try IMing cheetah or not so civic on here, they deal in transmission parts.
