Default GT35R h22... .63 or .82?

I'm currently looking to purchase a GT35R for my soon to be fully built h22a1. But I'm debating between the .63 and the .82 hotsides. Is there a huge difference between the two? How much more lag is the .82 hotside going to cause? I know it all depends on the setup, but I'm just having a hard time figuring out what I want. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated!

400-500whp is the goal.

Say if the same exact engine setup was used, what would be the difference in lag and power between the two?

I ordered a GT 35R with the .63a/r hotside to use on a b16, so I would say for a H22, you should probably go with the .82a/r

the .63 would work, but I think you may have more top end on your motor using the .82 and you wouldn't have a lot of lag with the 2.2 liters

i agree with this, but only if youre building for high #'s or traps.

ive had many experiences with the .63 a/r gt35r on the h22 and for a street car, its a blast...
in order to see the full potential of the compressor, the .82 must be used.

we actually just hit 592awhp@28psi on an 05 sti from Kingpin with the GT35R .82 a/r, 2.5 axis motor, DPR heads, 1000cc injectors, blah blah... wouldnt make any more power. the subaru guys think its pretty laggy i say they just arent pushing enough rpms yet.
but 625whp seems to be the extent of it.

I agree on the .82 A/R to see the MAX POTENTIAL of a GT35R on an H22A, due to the displacement I would do the .82 A/R all the way!

I appreciate the recommendations guys. I'm so confused on which to get. I mean, i want a FUN *** car to drive on the street with an awesome powerband. But then again, I'd love to trap higher with some bigger hp numbers. But i guess if I buy the .82 and don't like it, i can always sell it on HT! lol

i'll be running a gt40r w/.63 hotside on a built h23..... i stayed with the smaller hotside due to the lower rpm band my motor runs in........ had it been a h22, i probably would have opted for the .82 hot

I'm using a GT35R with a .82A/R. It's based on some suggestions from various people. I wonder what the max potential should be. I'm guessing like around 600.

Pikachu, how much boost do u run and what RPM do you make full boost by?

93h22ACX, same question on your GT4088.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going with the .82 now. Thanks guys!

I'm having issues with my precision 1000cc injector fitment. So I don't know yet. I'll know sometime next week though.
