Brake Lamp Light....
If anyone can help me out it would be nice....I just bought a JDM taillight for my 96 TL...everything is working fine and all but now the "Brake Lamp Light" is on. Did I forget to do something?
do you have working bulbs in all of the sockets for your brake lights in the back?
That light is there to tell you that you have a burned out brake light that needs to be replaced I would have a friend hit the brakes and make sure they are all lighting up if I were you first, secondly I would check to make sure that the new taillights didnt nix one of the original bulbs because they could trigger the light as well

Your little brain box sensor works off of resistance in the circuit, need to test the total resistance of each tail light in the old and the new assy, there is your problem.
I check the lights already, even bought new ones to replace. The light will light up when it's on but when I step on the brake the right taillight doesn't come on. Don't know if it's a wire problem.....
Before the brake lights probably in the trunk area is the wire harness that comes from the fronto of the car. Only one of them will get hot (power) when you step on the brake pedal, it will go to a plug in the trunk area and split into two wires for the tail lights or the tail lights will be wired in series, harness comes from front of car goes into one tail light assy and just carries on to the other tail light.
Either way you have power to the back of the car and you do not have pwer or ground to one tail light or stop light. Is there three wires on that socket, one is for the tail light and one is for the brake light and one is for ground.
Either one wire is bad, the contact in the socket is bad or the ground is bad or a weak connection, the ground wire is probably screwed right into the tail light assy, tighten it down a little or wiggle it, although you probably have a contact problem???
Give more descriptive details of your setup.
