Default LS Swap in CRX.... any good?

ok, my cousin wants to get an LS motor for his crx... he wants to know if buying the LS is worth it... what kind of power would he get and stuff like that. and also what good of a power gain would a Type R head do? (B18C5) would it be worth putting the Type R head??? LMK!!!

Um...I'm a little biased, but I like it.
I have a B18b w/ a little higher compression from ITR pistons.
I think the trick to the LS engine in a CRX is not using the LS transmission. I switched from an A1 to a Y1(w/ LSD also) and it was a world of difference.

I'm real happy with it. If I had to do it all over again, I would've used Hasports hydraulic mount kit. Why? (a)Its getting damn hard to find cable B-series in decent shape. (b)There are lot more tranny choices and aftermarket parts for the later models and (c)pretty much all the later parts are available domestically and have more hybrid/mix-match flexibility.
