What do you mean mounting the S300, they say the hardware is all internal with a usb port added...
I don't see it as the S200 little box that you can mount.
Save your self a headache and use what the maufactures suggest.

The s300 is made to fit in a full frame ECU case (US and most markets), so will not fit in a JDM ECU case.
Good Luck</TD></TR></TABLE>
That does not apply to the JDM P72 because it has a larger case and a knock sensor board. You only posted half of the answer on the Hondata page.

The s300 will only work in the OBD1 ecus listed at http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html.
From what i can see its mainly down to the knock board location, JDM is above the 28pin socket im sure moving that to be mounted outside the case and then trimming the middle support it would work ?
My S300 just arrived (Thanks Ben@Importparts.com) so I'll let you guys know how my JDM P72 install goes.
Update - I am looking for a USDM ECU.
The support bridge for the knock sensor board is a major roadblock and even if you remove the bridge the daughterboard itself will be in the way.
If somebody wants to make some monEy I will trade (2) unchipped JDM P72's for a single P28/30/72.
