Default GT3's fit over willwoods-16" with +40 offset?

i have a 90 CRX with front willwoods installed. i was wondering if these wheels wold clear the calipers and if anyone had pictures-mounted on any car. i think they are 10.25" rotors but someone said they would even clear the 11" version....any support would help...

there is no 11" wilwood kit out there. there is the new 10.25 and the original 12.6" version.
i can guarantee those wheels in 15" size will not fit the 12.6" kit, perhaps even the 16" size might not fit.

Get a spacer if you have to. its mostly the caliper hitting the spokes, not the actual inside of the rim is to small. So it you get a small spacer you should be ale to get them to fit. I have seen pictures of the wilwood 12.2 kit with rota 16 inch slips over them with no spacer.

in my case the calipers contacted the reinforcement ring on the inner side of the rim, had to grind off the outer side of the calipers to clear. there is amble clearance between the face of the caliper and the spokes

it would have to be a pretty thick spacers, keep in mind these are 15" wheels, most 16" wheels will fit over those brakes. i just hate using spacers in general and i wanted a wheel that had a good tyre selection, beside these wheels are pretty light, around 12lbs each.

**** i have seen a pic of the 16 inch slipstreams on their. I wonder if i can spacer the rim and shave the caliper enought to fit a 15 inch slip on their. I allready got the 16 inch slips but i need to put a 15 on the front to run the BFG drag radials. I would love a pic of the caliper shaving you did.

If it makes you feel better i want pics because i am actually going to get this set up. I am also getting it for performance and not for bling. I have no bling and dont plan on getting any.

A pic of the grinding you did on the caliper. A pic of the rim showing how close the caliper is to the reinforcement ring.

i'll see what i can do

not my calipers, but it shows the area in need of grinding. it has been painted afterwards with black paint. pics courtesy of brian hasty of fastbrakes.
in my case i had to grind off a bit more than this, with around 2-3mm clearance.

i did not affect the brakes at all, there is plenty of meat where the grinding is done. as far as looks go, first, i don't really care for looks and second, the area grounded down is hidden by the very part of the wheel that was the reason for grinding in the first place. i suppose i can paint the calipers red to add some bling to them...
this is the price to pay in order to use these brakes with a good 15" wheel. if this is a bit unnerving, get rota C8 in 16" and call it a day...
