Did you get them installed at Pep Boys?

Sorry couldnt resist old sk00l ITR forum joke.

I cannot imagine that noise would possibly be normal.

Lol good one (check the crank pulley for a missing wrench )

It's kind of a bit vague here - are you sure it's from the valvetrain/cams?

The spoon cams I had sounded like stock.

Even pepboys installed

Maybe need the valves adjusted?

they are louder than stock in the sense that when you romp on it, it will make the engine sound louder and meaner, not that it will sound like shes gonna break in half

Could you please be a little more specific about exactly what it sounds like and where it's coming from?

Do you have an aftermarket ECU and the gears were used to tune on a dyno, or did the installer try to tune to known Spoon settings with a known ECU?

Was the valvetrain upgraded at the same time?

Did you buy a car from someone whom we'd know?

Adjustments could cause more valvetrain noise than normal, but remember that twincam Hondas have more valvetrain noise than a lot of cars, even other 16-valve twincam cars from other manufacturers.

It sounds like you are (forgive me) a relative novice, and I'd really counsel that you visit a local shop specialising in Hondas just to make sure you're not hearing anything radically wrong. The cams could be badly timed and the car would appear to drive normally, but at high speeds you could be causing some damage if they are that badly adjusted.

I am running a Spoon P73 ecu with stock valvetrain I believe, and haven't done any dyno tune yet

I dont understand what you mean by saying the cams sound loud....how can you hear the cams. What type intake is on the car, as it (if aftermarket) will contribute to the noise more than anything, especially once in vtec.
I'm going to guess you mean engine noise and depending on your set up then once you have upgraded intake/header/exhaust etc etc then 95% of the time the engine noise is going to increase. The noise from my engine is loud as hell in vtec due to a short ram intake and apexi filter....but it doesnt mean somethings going to break or near breaking.

thats sounds perfectly normal for the set up you have. A CAI is going to make more noise than the stock airbx because of its exposed filter.
