Default Si dizzy into an STD?

The dist. in my STD is bad and I have a spare CRX Si dist. that I was going to try and use. Is it possible to just de-pin the Si dist. and re-pin/re-wire the STD dist harness to use the Si dist, without worrying about MPFI bs?

instead of doing that, why not just pull the parts you need out of the mpfi dizzy and put them in the std dizzy.

the bearing is bad in the STD dist. I think you need some special tool for the screws to get to the bearing.

Convert to MPFI or Sell your si dizzy.

Which reminds me. I just pulled my DX motor and can sell you the dizzy if you like. It worked fine when i pulled it.

Let me know if you're interested

P.S. Pretty sure its the same dizzy. My motor is a DPFI D15b2.

it will work, but u will have the two wires for the cyl sensor left over. but why would you want to sacrifice a perfectly good si dizzy when you can sell it and buy a much cheaper dx dizzy?

i figured it would work...

I just didnt want to go through the hastle of selling it and then buying a new one. I just wanted to modify the one I already have. Im going to be coverting to MPFI at some point and going to be keeping the Si dist plugs to just re-wire it back

I have a perfectly good dizzy out of a std if you want it. I converted to MPFI and no longer need it.
