Default Seatbelt Question

Just a quick questions....

What year did the automatic seatbelts get replaced by airbags? 1993? Just curious if I decide to look for an Integra, I don't want those damn seatbelts in the car.

TIA

Eric

Default Re: Seatbelt Question (90CivicEX)

im not sure.. but i think it was 92.. i thought only the earlier models had the automatic seat belts (90-91).. because the gov't required passive restraints.. safety devices where you didnt have to do anything (like pull and latch a seatbelt) for them to react in an accident.. i think in 92 car manufacturers had to have air bags..

i could be wrong tho.. i wasnt driving back then...

All 2nd gen Tegs (90-93) are auto seatbelts. Unless you can get a canadian spec one.
