Edik,
Sorry to see you end the race and the weekend that way. It was shaping up to be a good battle. That thing sure had a lot of juice before that downshift. I think its time to step up and get an Integra.

Well, I don't have quite the exciting footage like Edik does, especially since I didn't have much of a race all weekend, but here's a few bits anyway.
PS, For the record, I won 4 beers from Jeremy last weekend

Sheesh John. That assaht in the SE-R must be on his way to Spec Miata career. I would have had words with him after the race.
You certainly saw more mishaps than I did over the weekend.

John, that is some nice video! Quite a "Miata Moment", too. So How'd you win the beer?
Also, please tell me what make/model camera you're using. Picture quality is great.
Thawley -- Who's analog Hi-8 camera turned itself off half way thru lap one...

Since it's no secret that I was running a H5 car in H4, Jeremy Rine said he'd give me one beer for every H4 car I finished ahead of during the race Saturday & Sunday. I got down to a 2:04.xx and was lucky enough to finish ahead of 2 H4 cars each day.
I use a Sony TRV240 Digital8 with a wide angle adapter lens. I think the lipstick cams are the way to go now though.

What type of jack or plug does a camcorder need that allows you to plug in a lipstick camera?
PS: Nash, did you get any video of the "turn 10 affair"?

They may not have the plugs on the side of them but you can still use them.
Just use the breakout cable that they all come with to hook up to a TV or VCR. Get female to female adapter and you're done. Those cables are inputs as well as outputs.

Not every camera has Input most new ones only have Output.

I use the breakout cable that came with my camera and I purchased the lipstick through helmetcamera.com.
Nope - no vid of the "T10 affair", I ran out of tape right after your off in the race on Saturday
so I figured I would skip filming practice so I would have sufficient tape for the race.

Those "Outputs" are often also inputs, even if they aren't labeled as such.
Try it, put the camera in vcr mode hit record, plug it inot th eback of your vcr or dvd player and it will play through.

Here is the first lap on Saturday's race. In know way does this highlight any skill's I have.
I had nothing for anyone. I am hoping others can see themselves on film. I should have taken the footage to the hotel and looked at it. I see now a lot of things I should have done differently through out the race.

I had a really great time this weekend. It didn't really start off great.
Good to meet some HC racers (even though it seems like I only met half of them)
N.Cal guys are spoiled rotten with TH and Infineon in there backyards. Not to mention Laguna.
I have to give a shout-out to Mike and John G. for being liaison for this event.
A thanks to the NW crew for being COOL cats.
A big thanks to my crew Greg S. and Roy who worked a lot harder then anticipated or wanted.
Thanks to NASA for hosting the event and us. Thanks to the "brown shirts" for, well, nothing.
Thanks to Infineon for letting us chill-out in the air-con sky box's.(that felt good!)
What a great track!
I will have another vid tomorrow of Sunday's race.
