b series motors in a 2001 civic lx?
iv seen pictures, iv heard talk about these being done
a friend of mine has a 2001 civic lx and he wanted a k series but they are crazy expensive, so now he wants to go be series, so he called a local shop, btw the shop he called is very good and has a great reputation, now i dont think he talked to the right person becuase the guy he talked to at the shop said that he cant put a b series motor in his civic only a k series
now i thought it whould be harder to get a k series in there, then it whould be to do a b series since the d thats in there sits the same way as the b thats goin in, now i no his d has cable tranny, but i figured theres something that can be done about that
thanks for any and all help in clearing this up for me

1. ) do a search
2. ) k series are not more expensive than b series. you just need to look around more.
3. ) it is illegal to put older motors into newer cars. unless your car is a 2001 lx and you have a 2001 b series.
4. ) mounts would be very expensive since no companies mass produce b series for em2 and em3 chasis
5. ) you will have to make your own conversion harness.
6. ) k series would be alot less expensive after it is all said and done.

ie; It will not pass emissions and is illegal in almost all states!!
