Also the ecu was reset (battery terminal, and fuses as I can remember). But having done al of this the car still has no power at all. It apears to still be in limp mode. Can someody help?

What year, if you're obd2 you'll have to complete the obd2 drive cycle!

Any check engine lights. Like stored in the computer after you reset it.

Nope no check engine lights. The other day a code 43 (fuel system supply) came up but i had that code pop up and go away a long time ago and didn't have this problem.

...did you try unplugging your ecu - and plugging it back in? I went into limp mode...so i pulled over and unplugged it, plugged it back in - and it worked again.....<-- I know this isn't the correct way to diagnos the problem -but it worked for me, so give it a shot. 40 seconds top.....if a code 43 comes up, could it be a faulty fuel pump (not a broken fuel pump obviously) but a faulty one, meaning that its not pumping at the correct rate or something....not sure if that would trigger the ecu though - sorry if i didn't help.

My fuel pump was working fine so I don't think that could be but I'll try disconnecting the ecu to see if that helps anthing. thanks.

a common problem when putting in a new ks is that people dont know how much to torque it in. basically its a 100 dollar microphone.... ive read ppl who turned it too much into the block and actually broke the new one.

mine was bad and i NEVER had a ks code.

Well i torqued the knock sensor but it didn't break and I don't know why I still have the problem. I really want to fix this problem because this is very irritating.

I know there isn't any clearance for the torque wrench but I gave it a fairly enogh torque by a wrench.

Code 43 problems are usually caused by an intermitant oxygen sensor. I have seen them pass all continuity and resistance checks and still be bad. Also if your sensor is located under the engine on the exhaust pipe instead of the manifold the connector can get drenched in oil that is often dripping from the valve cover or from messy oil changes. The O2 sensor controls the pulse duration for the fuel injectors. Weak fuel pumps, however, usually cause more severe drivability problems than just lack of power.
