Has anyone replaced the tail light covers on any new Accord 4drs??

I have a 2005 Accord Ex 4dr and just bought some new Altezza Tail Lights. The back of the 4dr is made up of 4 seperate Tail Light pieces. I am having trouble removing the outside pieces. I have removed all 4 screws (3 on back and 1 on bottom) of the existing tail light. There are two little plastic tips that are on the bottom side of the lights that i cant get to come out of the bracket that is underneath the tail light area. Any ideas on if i have to take that bracket apart (possibly could be connected to the whole bumper/rear end assembly of car)???? Any suggestions on how to get these out??? They are stuck on the plastic tips.

 

first off, why did you get altezzas?

 

uhh cuz i saw them on a 2003 accord 4dr and they looked really nice. my roommate also bought some altezza's and had no complaints.

Do you have any ideas on getting the factory tail lights off instead of posting lame replies?

 

Man, take it back to Pep Boys. Either they can give your wasted money back or they'll install tehm for you for 30 bucks cause I wouldnt touch altezzas with my hands, I might get something.

 

I think you blong over at superhonda with your altezzas. you'd fit in great with those guys.
