Personal choice is Simpson. The other brands are very similar. You will want something with a palm that has a bit of grip to it. Another thing-you need to try them on for fit. The pair that is most comfortable without heavy effort to get on will be your best bet overall. Pricing is $50-$70.

dunno if it came up in the other thread or not (too lazy to look) but the euro gloves come in smaller size increments the the american ones (s-m-l-xl only), so you can get a better fit. my sparcos didn't hold up worth a crap but they fit perfectly, which the simpsons and g-forces dont do on me.

if all you are looking for is grip and you arent concerned with fire protection, a pair of mt. biking gloves would be perfect. good grip, breathes well, cheap, good feel, and fits great

Or batting gloves. The cheapest unpadded ones tend to work best, the leather is usually really tacky too.

Don't forget you really only need a left glove, that way you can feel the transmission better by resting your hand on the shift **** at all times.

Batting gloves are also useful for wielding bats in order to deliver the beatdown on annoying red MR2 drivers from Ohio.
