Default Coolant leak, check engine light

My car developed a coolant leak in the engine bay. I didn't look close enough of where it was so I got it towed to a shop. Found out that it was just the upper rad hose.

So that got replaced. Went and picked up the car and drove home. 5 min into the driving, my check engine light came on.

What could it be? Where is it that I can read the "flashes" so that I can determine the engine check code?

It's a 90 Civic SI (canadian)

Pull back the carpet on the passenger side floor and the ecu will be right behind it. Turn the ignition to accessories and count how many times it blinks.

Did that. I can't seem to differentiate between long and short pauses and flashes I have an appt with the shop tomorrow. Is it safe to drive it there? It's about 25 km.

it should be safe as long as you not leaking any fluids........are u running hot? it might be code 6 i beleive coolant temp sensor, unplug battery or take fuse out for ecu and try it again = reset the ecu and maybe it was an old code that clears good luck!

Got a call from the shop. They said it's the O2 sensor. They wanted ~$220 (parts and labour). $180 for the part and $40 for the 1/2 hr labour. It's CAD btw.

I told them I am able to do it myself. ~$80 CAD for a Bosch O2 sensor from a parts shop.

I supposed I should be OK for the next little while driving the car around with a bad O2 sensor? The car will just run rich?

So if I try to read the flashes again from the ECU, what would the pattern be for bad O2 sensor?
