Good Call
Good Call
so i will need 8 1600 cc injectors and should i add like a walbro inline fuel pump
i am not going to ditch the head for awhile because i wanna see what i can make with it plus its been really fun making over 450 hp on race fuel on a ls with no vtec head

ok, well after about 8500-9000 rpms, your rocker arms will start flying off, and that wont be good, not to mention the ls heads dont flow worth a ****, and your limited to cam specs.
as for a fuel pump, your walbro will not work, you need to supply twice the amount of fuel that you would on gas, you need a huge pump, and huge injectors. at least a -8 line to the rail, and a -6 back from the rail. we are running mechanical pumps on our cars.
this fuel pump would be a good start

i am planning on running 35psi and only reving to 8500. i want to see how much i can make on a ls. and i really would like to run alcohol i just think it would be fun to do something different. how much do the fuel pumps cost that are pictured above and where do i get them. thanks everybody
the pumps alone are gonna range from 600 - 1000$ bucks
its varies on how far you want to go i wouldnt just run alky its pretty intensive and takes time to understand it.
if you plan only on 400-450hp it would be just waste.
you would need lines, injectors, pumps allot of stuff and its not cheap

good luck on having a "useful powerband" you might get 35psi by 7500, and only have a 1000rpm powerband.. what a waste. your turbo wont be anywhere near its efficiancy. not to mention, your gonna be loosing alot of time in between shifts, and loosing alot of rpm too.
the fuel pump Earl pictured has the pricing right there in his post, and you can get them through Earl (Laskey Racing)

I wouldnt worry about the powerband, i can spool over 30 psi by 5500 with a 74mm s trim and still make wicked power to as high as i want to rev to. If i wanted to i can turn it a tad rich and kick boost up even higher.
Also alcohol is a "dry" fuel it is very hard on bearings and cylinder walls--as it acts like a solvent to wash all the oil off the parts that need it. Not to mention, methanol is hydroscopic (hygroscopic?) just like brake fluid--meaning it absorbs moisture VERY rapidly from the surrounding air, you have to drain the fuel cell at the end of the day--If you aren't pushing a car to like 800-900 hp its a total waste of time....Jay. Although, Redline does make a "top end lube" specifically for alcohol motors to add some lubrication for the oil...

Thats impressive... what size motor?

exactly what i was thinking.
if your breaking the tires loose on the dyno, your not properly strapping the car down. tell the dyno owner to learn how to strap cars down.

:::Scratches head::: first off what the hell is a t4 super 70? second 24lbs = only 351?? First before u try to run alky u need to get the bugs worked out of your current setup.

I have all the stuff that you are going to need. I have 8 1600cc injectors , fuel filters , 2 weldon pumps , etc . Let me know if you are still needing this stuff , will sell for a good price.
if u ready my post thats 351 is before i brake the tires loose on the dyno onces the tires start spinning faster than the dyno you can't get a accurate hp ratting
oh yea and its a inground dyno jet 2000 you can only strap the car down one way and it doesn't bring it tight down on the dyno if u ask any turner they hate these dynos for making high hp cars thats y u see people setting on fenders of cars when u watch dyno runs on in the trunk or say supra and so on. and i am asking theses questions because i have never see anybody run alcohol so i would like to know how to go about a set up if thats such a bad thing for me to ask a question like this then just don't post a replay *******

Forget the alcohol, just run race gas (VP C16) on your setup. I'm running C16 on my LS set up with a SC61 turbo at 20psi and I made 397hp. I'm going back to the dyno next week and upping the boost to get about 450.
basically what we're tryin to tell u is that it's a waste of money unless your going for 8's. Not to mention that you won't be able to compete in any street class if u plan on dragging this setup and you'll be stuck running 7-8 sec cars. but if u want to waste your money on a alcohol setup be my guest. And like others stated... you need to find a place to strap the car down better. if 500+ whp cars don't have a problem why would a 350 whp car have a problem? hell my car didnt have any problems with breakin tires loose and i'm puttin out 400+ lbs of torque.
