Transmission, clutch?

Took a friend out the other day in my 96 GS-R, and while I was being a dumbass and trying to show off I somehow ground the gears badly between first and second at high RPM...apparently I let the clutch out before I was fully in gear. Now the gears grind between first and second a lot more frequently...which still isn't to often but the fact that it does it so easily...or randomly bothers me. Also, if I move it in and out of second gear while the car is moving with the clutch fully engaged, it grinds about the third time that I try to put it into second. Granted, that's not anything that you do when driving, but I did it one night after I ground the gears just to see what happened. Anyone have ANY idea what I could have done to my car? thanks for your time...

guys, you're killin' me. Thr ****** did it again this morning at about 15 mph between first and second, so it's happening more. Any suggestions would help.
Dude your syncros are messed up for sure. You need to rebuild your tranny and next time make sure its in gear before you show your frends the cool burnouts

Only reason that I doubt it's the synchros is because of the condition the car is in. I ran a search and I saw that these things don't just go on one occassion, it takes a while of being a abused. While the car does have lots of miles on it (147,000), it was ALL highway miles from when my father drove it to work over an hour away. It's always been serviced regularly and on time at an Acura dealership. I've only put a few thousand on it, and neither of us has ever raced the car, my dad has drove stick all his life and so he knows how to drive one properly, and that one occassion is really the only time I've done anything rough to the car. The clutch has been grabbing kinda low for a while too, so I'm just hoping that maybe it isn't engaging fully and that's why it's grinding now. I'm gonna bring it in and ask the dealer, then take it to a family friend who has an auto shop, ask what they think. Sorry about the long post and for not just using the the search feature first, I just found it. Thanks for your help, and if anyone who reads this has an opinion to give me go ahead, I'd like to hear it.

If the clutch is engaging really low it could be a symptom of a leaky clutch master cylinder or a leak somewhere within the clutch hydrauluic system. A soft clutch is also a symptom of this. I had both these symptoms, plus it grinded very slightly when going into gear, when my clutch master cylinder went out. It could just be a coincedence in your case that you grinded it and now you are having this problem.
I would recommend bleeding the clutch system as a simple troubleshoot. If bleeding it fixes the problem, but it comes back, it is a leak in the system somewhere. If it fixes it and it doesn't come back, maybe it was just extremely worn out fluid.
The bleeder valve is on the slave cylinder, which is the thing mounted to the front of the transmission with a hard-line running to it. Looks just like a brake bleeder valve. Be sure to keep the clutch fluid reservoir filled, and use DOT 3 or better brake fluid. If you have never dealt with brake fluid before DO NOT get it on the paint.
A bit lengthy and probably more than you needed to know, or a repeat of what you already know, but I hope this helps.

OK, I had it checked out by someone, he didn't take anything apart, just drove it and said it's fine, the clutch is a little worn but it's got a while left. The transmission fluid was changed, and it hasn't ground during regular driving yet. but if I move the shifter around lieke in and out while 2nd is half engaged it still grinds. Is that just because that's not something that normally happens in a car and I just discovered it by accident and because you're not supposed to do it that's why it's grinding? Or is that a sign of a problem? I really don't want a rebuild or a new one because other than that the tranny is so smooth.
