Default ABS light on my 95 Accord EX

I just got my accord a few weeks ago and the front pads were sqeeking and the ABS is on, I replaced the fron brake pads and the sound went away but for the ABS light is there anything I can check, I made sure the fliud level was alright ( previous vehicle that triggered my ABS light:99 dakota ) , Should I just take it to a mechanics or is there a few steps i should take first, I can turn a wrench pretty cam good so any info would be great.

thanks

i don't have a code reader for my Accord yet, is there any way to check what codes the ECU is spitting out, I figured out how to do it in my last truck but havent researched it yet on Hondas

when u said u made sure fluid level was ok did u have to add some to make it ok or was it full already.........cause i have seen a lot of modulator leak on 94-95 accords thus the abs lite comes on ........ pull the abs fuses test drive see if lite comes on again

Check this out, it's for Integra, but probably the same.

Look down where it says ABS codes for '94-'97. I think the plug for jumpering Accord codes is behind the ashtray. Some people have said Accords have a DIFFERENT plug to jumper for ABS codes, others say it's the same plug as the ECU. I don't have a '95 Accord so I don't know...

The ABS has it's own fluid reservoir. You not only have to fill it, but you have to bleed air out of it too.

to access abs codes it is the same plug as engine codes,,,,,,,
as for bleeding the abs system it is not as easy as bleeding brakes there is some steps to take eric ..... you might want to read manual.........

Does your brake pedal puslate, like when you step on the brake does it kick back at you......

Does your abs come on as soon as your turn on your car?

Or does it turn of once you have moved... (even just inches)

if it turns on once you have moved your wheels:
try cleaning your rotors with brake cleaners and around your abs sensor..
