Alternator R&R
Having troble finding a space large enough to remove alt. on a 1990 acura integra gs. do you have to remove wheel and driveshaft to get it out??? Any help would be appreciated.

To remove the alternator?? I removed mine the other week to get fixed and all I did was undo the bolts, slip the belt off and away she comes. I have a 90 integra xsi (b16a da6) I accessed it through the wheel arch. (Took the wheel off and the plastic splash guards)

Most sources say to remove the driver side (left side) axle from the intermediate shaft. Yes it can be a PITA, but I think it will save you alot of trouble trying to get it out any other way.
On a RHD car you might can get it out from the top, but on a LHD car the brake master cylinder tends to get in the way.
