Default New motor wont turn over at all with new ignition system help

Okay I just finished building my motor but it wont start. The 1st obvious reason it will not start is that I do not have an ECU for it as yet but it is still supposed to be able to crank, which it is not doing. I have a MSD 6A hooked up and for now, just to get it started, I just used the stock 7.5mm wires. and the external blaster coil I got from this kid..and A new rotor in my dizzy... anyway I hooked up everything the right way and I do not get any spark.. I keep hearing click, click, click, and no spark and the motor is not trying to turn over. I know I’m not getting spark because I pulled the plug out and attached a spark plug to it and nothing…. I have a brand new battery. the timing is correct…the dizzy is fine. the dizzy cap is new…the 7.5mm wires are new(yes I am changing them). My assumptions are #1 the starter is bad, #2 the coil I got from that kid is bad….am I missing out on anything, or I hope its not #3 the MSD is bad because I purchased a brand new one…SO any other things that can cause this? summary:no comp, getting fuel, no spark, click click click, new msd ignition system cap rotor, used coil...help

Make sure all of your ground straps are connected. Its most likely a real easy electrical fix.

Try testing your coil by connecting the + and - from the ICM in the distributor then try starting the engine. See if that works, I had the same problem by the way but my MSD SCI was the culprit.

You have no ECU hooked up, yet expect spark??

Okay but the motor is supposed to turn over but not start without a ecu....and once your engine turns that = u getting spark I know because we used to take out our ecu as a extra security measure and my friend forgot it was out and tried to stat the car

You're suggesting that even without the ECU, so long as the motor is able to turn over via the starter, a spark will be generated??

No.
