So you're just wondering if the exhaust manifold and intake manifolds are interchangeable?

Yes. I think all 88-00 d-series parts are interchangeable. But don't hold me to that, but the z6 y8 parts definitely are.

Valve sizes are the same. These pics tell the rest of the story.

Okay so I figured that's what he could mean, but he didn't specify just getting a y8 head for a z6 block, etc., etc.,

lol sorry.

what i mean is i have a built z6 in my car, which i have dropped a valve in, and its going to be out of commision for a while and i want to swap in a y8 engine. Just wonderign if i need the y8 intake manifold and header or will my chikara header and performerX work on the y8 engine.

but those pictures of the head are good, i was wondering about the y8 head a bit.

in reply to info from rstor.. im assuming a Y8 head would be better for a MiniME swap than a Z6 head?

this one i can answer

the y8 head will net you a little more hp and a little bit more torque, but if you wanted to compare one head to the other the z6 is better. Its more suited for airflow and for a port and polish.

look at the port pictures posted.
