I'm working on my friends 95 del sol, d16, automatic. It won't start. Ill turn the key, and the engine will turn maybe once or twice, and then all i hear is the starter spinning free of the engine. Im thinking that the solenoid is either bad or there is a wiring issue. As i understand it, the solenoid pushed the starter gear into the transmission to turn it. Am i right, and how do i fix this?
