Default Buddy club spec 3 on stock valvetrain?

wondering if it would be ok to run buddy club spec 3's on stock gsr valvetrain until i can save up enough money to send out my head to get port and polish multiangle valve job and install the rest of the valvetrain (valve springs, retainers, flat face valves etc) Also if i run these cams on stock valvetrain would i be an ok idea to take the redline to 8500?

Current set up:
(96 GSR)
AEM CAI
4-1 dc header
Trust exhaust
Skunk 2 IM
OBD II>OBD I conversion with JDM P72 ecu with uberdata
Exedy clutch
Mount inserts

What is it with people wanting to run after market cams with stock valve train? Dude, you've been told no like 3 times in a row here, but you don't get it I guess. Is it really worth it to save that $400 right now while risking your entire motor?

Here, I'll give you the answer you want to hear:
Go for it bro! My boi's cousin's friend ran these cams with the same setup as you for 100,000 miles and no problems so far! He takes it all the way 8700 rpms too!

From my experience, the B18C1 valvetrain is fairly weak. I've bent valves, and so have others on this board. That was with stock cams as well. They just seem to fatigue over time. Spend the money and get the good stuff. I have a set of 3's on my B18C1, and they are an amazing cam IF you tune them properly.

I'm still finding power in them since we got our dyno last month.

Dont be stupid. Buy the valvetrain, then buy the cams.

I have just started to piece together my all motor setup and ordered the Buddy Club Spec III+ as well as p30 pistons so far. Sorry to kind of jack this thread, but I have a similar question...

I was planning on running low mileage ITR outer springs and retainers, but upgrading the inner springs with aftermarket ones. I also am planning on revving to about 8500 to produce peak hp. Would this setup be adequete? I've been told that it would be able to handle it, but as far as stock springs go, most people on this board say not to... Any furthur input?

Ill take everyones word for it and get the valvetrain put in when the cams go in. should i wait to save money for a P&P and valve job? before i put everything together? i can offord the cams and valvetrain but not enough for the P&P. BTW planning to bring the head to port-flow

One should study the exhaust primaries on these cams. Then you might come to the conclusion that stock springs may not be wise.

Hint: There is a term whose acronym is "IF" for these profiles.
