Default ACT Clutches

I'm stuck between a few different clutches...
What's do you guys think I'm better off with

AI3-XTSS
AI3-XTR4 (4-puck)
AI3-XTR6 (6-puck)

I have a 93 teg with low comp pistons, running 9psi daily, and my damn stock clutch is getting eaten alive when I hit boost in 2nd gear

And where's the cheapest place to get them from?
Thanks!

The AI3-XTSS should work well for you. It's an organic street disc.

The R4 (4pad) is a race disc....imo you don't need

The R6 (6pad) is an even more aggressive version of the R4. once again...not needed

Thats the one i was leaning towards... I just noticed that the 4 and 6 pucks were a lot cheaper which didn't make too much sense. Anyone know the cheapest place to pick up one of the ACT AI3-XTSS kits?

the reason the pucks are cheaper is because they arnt a sprung hub design. http://www.Ultrarev.com has good prices on stuff. I got my clutch master stage 3 for 427 Orig is 512 and fidanza flywheel for 180

ACT is a great clutch

A lot depends on your motor and what you want to do with it. I have a 91 4door Teg turboed. I'm getting the 6 pad unsprung installed with a ACT Streetlight Flywheel (12.5lbs). But I'm also using G-Force 225 50 15 Drag Raidals at the track!

It's a little much for a street driving but it works and hold the Drag Raidals Well!

i would never get a 6 puck for a street driven car. thats for the track and cars running 20psi.

The team I race for (road racing) is sponsored by ACT and we have used the XTR-4 in one of our cars and a XTSS in another. The answer to your question depends on your cars max torque output at the crankshaft. Use the ACT tech. literature to decide:
