Whats REQUIRED to lower my 93 Civic Cx
I have a 93 Civic and i want to lower it about 4 inches. i see on ebay all thesee cheep coilver springs and crap. is that all i need the springs? I dun know wat im doing i just wnat to buy the stuff and go to a shop. sooo PLEASE TELL ME, give me some links any help will Be aprreciated GREATLY!!!! * TRying to keep the prices low*
Four inches is quite a bit. Do you want ride height adjustability? With coilovers you can adjust the ride height. Springs are a set height. What do you plan to do with your car? Looks? Doesn't seem like you are going for performance...Do you want a decent ride?
I really want my ride to be more performance, looks ant really important to me i just want to lower it a few inches, i guess 4 inches would be a lil to much.... lol. i plan on puting a B16 in my car and just constantly trying to maek the car quicker. My looks are goign to be just a flatblack paint, with black rims nothing stylish. pretty much want the car to look like a sleeper, but i would like it lowerd an inch or so.
you might regret lowering your car like that. me and my brother lowered the car about 2 inches off the ground an it was a pain in the *** to go around places specialy with speed bumps.
ok well in my book are 3 ways of lowering a car... the rite way.. the half *** way... and the stupid way. I will explian the ways:
The rite way goes like this-buy a nice brand name pair of shocks off ebay new for around 275$ shipped, a set of genaric springs ( ive riden in name brand and off brand and there is no diff) 100$ and then a camber kit for 250$.
The half *** way- Well with this way you do everything above buy minus the shocks... are the shocks really needed no, but u mine as well because the ride will feel better and your will probable blow soon if your car is slammed.
The stupid way- This way is for people that wanna go the cheapest route but in the end will be the most expensive... all you do is buy the spring. Without buying the camber kit your tires will wear and you will need to replace them A LOT faster than if you you normally would from regular use.... Many people go this way because they dont know much about lowering a car, hell i did it this way when i just got into the car game because i didnt know anything and i was 16
... I'm smarter now and know better.
So there are the three choices i have to offer. take your pick and call it a day

^^ you forgot the best option which would be a set of omni or d2 full coilovers..
also you might want to pick up some rear LCA bolts, mine broke when i took them out and i hear thats pretty common
