Default Ditching ZC for B16

Ok, first of all I'm fairly new to NA Honda's so don't rip me apart.

Right now I have an 89 CRX Si with a DOHC ZC swapped in... I'm bored of it

I'm thinking about doing the B16A but I'd like to have some kind of power before Vtec kicks in... I know that B-series motors have interchangable parts so - would it be possible to run an LS crank (to bump up torque) w/ arias pistons on the B16 block? I'm not sure if the stroke would be too long or not for the block... hence my question.

The car is just used for daily driving... I'd like to have some fun with it though and I've got some extra money that I'd like to put into it. I'm trying to keep this between $3,500 - $4,000. Assuming $1,800 for the swap.

This is what I originally planned out for a mild build for the B16:

B16A1 Block
B18B Crank - (would it be feasable or even worth it?)
Arias Pistons - Dome top - 11.3:1 compression (what is stock?) 81.5mm bore
B16A Rods

B16A1 Head
Stiffer valve springs
Titanium Retainers
CTR cams (better choice for same price.. or less?)
Mild Port and Polish
3-angle valve job

Fuel & Ignition
270cc injectors - was thinking H22 but not sure if they fit?
MSD-6A street box
Chipped ECU - probably get custom chip after tuning

I was originally going to turbo the ZC but I decided against it since turbo can create massive problems if not meticulously taken care of... I can't afford to have my car down for any extended length of time. I'd also like to preserve some sort of decent gas mileage... Not sure how this setup will be as far as that goes though...

Like I said, I really don't have too much knowledge about the NA Honda motors... So if anyone has any suggestions or improvements for that setup I'm all ears!

Thanks for reading and hope to hear some useful input.

The ZC is too fragile in stock form... I also put about 25k miles on it a year... After much debating I've decided to stay away from turboing a Honda. I'll save the boost for the 300ZX

I was also thinking in order to save some money ... leave the bottom end alone and do a little more aggressive head work. Might work out the same cost in the end though anyway... the head work with a good intake manifold and exhaust manifold should be decent...

Not entirely sure yet... keep the opinions coming!

Ok ignore that post before, my dumbass didn't read. Anyway, you should buy a bone stock b16 and leave it. It will be easy to work on, plenty quick, very reliable and will get good economy, and you don't have to worry about annoying tuning and building problems.

LS crank won't work in a b16 w/out special pistons that have the wrist pin moved up (like tech43 kit). This is because the b16 has a shorter block height than the ls. This would most likely be too much trouble for you, stick w/ some of your other plans.
