Driving from work today normal out of vtec when my whole car loses power and right away i turned the car off because i knew what it was.

 

if you didnt hear valves hitting pistons just slap on a new timing belt and water pump and you should be fine

 

yeah i didnt hear **** as soon as it happened i shut the car car off and didnt attempt to turn it back on

 

you gotta replace the water pump also if you blow your timing belt?

Uhm..no but you might as well cause theres no better time to do it.

Cross your fingers on that valvetrain.

 

Just put a new timing belt on an cross your fingers. My brother broke his timing belt while driving home. We just lined everything up and installed new belt. Started right up

 

checked and my motor is still good

 

My mom's timing belt broke while she was at a stop sign. She had no idea what happened, but told me all about it when I got back from college. "The mechanic said I was really lucky.
