Kuhmo ECSTA ASX
I purchased these tires about 2 months ago, and now I know pretty much how these tires will be for the rest of their tread life. I plus sized them to 205/50-15. My old tires were some AVS ES100...they were terrible, loud, they tramlined, and they were awful in the rain(195/55-15). I can actually say that the Kuhmo all-season has just as good as dry traction, and they are by far better in all other catigories. Best thing is that they are shhhh quiet. A good tire
My experience with the Yokohama ES100 has been exactly the opposite of yours. They grip well, they are AWESOME in the rain, they last a long time, and they're as quiet as any other tire I've used.

I've used all-season tires at times, and have always found them to be relatively poor performers - so-so in the summer but not as good as a true summer tire, and okay in the winter but not as good as a true winter tire. Now I use summer tires (including the ES100 on the GS-R) nine months a year, and winter tires three months a year. And I get the best performance all year round.
But if you are looking for a single tire to drive in summer as well as winter conditions, and you're willing to sacrifice performance to do so, the Kumho Ecsta ASX is a good choice, decent performance at an economical choice.

Yeah my friend had ES100's on his 240SX and he loved them, and ive heard a lot of people who use them and like them. I dont know why my experience with them was so bad, im not hating on Yokohama by any means, but just a bad experience. I will add though, the AVS was much better at launching at the drag strip, but I dont race much at all so...
