Launching a 97 prelude!
Was up guys need some help from the pros. wat is the best way to launch a 97 prelude??? and at how many thousand to shift to second??? thanks for all input!
launching is all up to you. try different revs and get a feel for what you like. shift at about 7,000 - 7200 on the OEM tach. 6800-7000 on anything else.

If you have a vfac would that be more accuate then anything else since you stock is most of the time off by 100 or so RPM?
yes, aftermarket tach's that go above 8k and digital tach's would be more accurate.
the OEM prelude tach is known to be off a couple hundred RPM's in the high end which is normal.
when a gauge is calibrated, the center of attention is on 20 - 80 % of full range. anything under and over is going to be the least accurate.
