Default a "tac" sound when I'm releasing the clutch in first gear... any ideas???

this weird sound got a bit louder now.. it happens when I'm at a dead stop... 1st gear.. as the car is moving a little bit and the clutch is halfway depressed... a "tac" sound could be hear.. usually you hear it "tac" once but sometimes it does that twice...it also happens when the car is stopped and I go reverse.... it seems more frequent now that I hear this... my car is dropped 1.7 on sportsline.....anyone have this happen to their car?? when I go through turns, I don't hear it.. it only happens at a dead stop going forward or backwards Thanks everyone!

can you feel it in your foot? If so, change the clutch fluid.

Oh, and is the fluid black? Yes? Change it.

My car was making a clicking noise between gears and when starting from a stop, but only below third gear. I thought it was the clutch and brought it in to my dealer, but the mechanic said it was the rear brakes, that's their warning for when they are low, he replaced the pads and resurfaced the rotors, and the clicking went away. Unfortunately I can't tell exactly what sound you mean, but maybe that can help.

the cv boots cover the cv joints that are part of the axle. the axle is what makes the car move. they do click when theyre bad the way to test them is to turn the wheel all the way in one direction and then drive in a circle if theyre bad it will make a clicking noise. like i said my suspension makes lots of noises and i've had it all checked out, there are a lot of joints and parts that move and its probably not a big deal, but if youre concerned then take it to you mechanic and have him check it out.
