Well, we all knew it would happen.

Mr. Franza is currently on the way to the midwest to pick up his new toy. The car is a lovely, bone stock, black, 14K mile, 2000 ITR. The new ITR will be turned into a H1 racer over the next year or so.

Some current H1 fool double-dog dared him to come race H1. Careful what you chumps wish for. If you recall, in 2004 Jason would out qualify and check out from 2/3 the H1 field in his H2 ITR.

Karl slaps forehead with palm of hand, and then remembers...oh yeah. It's Jason. That's about right. I tried to get him to buy my car for a seriously low price. Guess the draw of the ITR is too great.

I'd actually call Jason with a "WTF?!?" phone call, but all he'd say is "I know Karl, I'm not real smart, but I'm doing it anyway."

He could have saved alot of $ and got Warren's old ITR and just have the front clip replaced.

He could have saved substantially MORE money and bought my H3/ITS car, which not only has a pro cage and 1500 worth of shocks, it also has never been seriously crashed. Just a passenger side door, and minor damage at that.

I tried...

 

Anyone want to finance a H2 car... man I got to find the money to race.

Yeah, this from the guy that quoted me like $150 to bring me a 2.5" test pipe with a turn down to Summit my first year racing. Hehe. About 10 bucks worth of stock. To each his own. Good luck Franza.

Well, whatever it is will have V-TEC. Maybe H1?? Dunno. But it is safe to say it won't be in my current car. "ITB isn't for me".

Jason is waaaay too much a perfectionist to purchase used or worn out equipment. He should be heading back east about now...

I agree. If he charged for just over the cost of materials, how could he possibly make money? If you want to pay $20 for a test pipe and turndown, go buy the materials and do it yourself.
