93 prelude problem?!?!
im so lost when i cycle the key over in the prelude the fuel pump doesnt turn on ive replaced the main relay( pgm-fi relay) and checked all fuses and grounds w/ a test light and the fuel pump still doesnt turn on should i hard wire it to sumthin and if so what should i hard wire it to?
You are correct, the power comes direct from the main relay that is turned on by the computer when you first cycle the key on for a few seconds, if it tests good then yoe hot wire the fuel pump, use a fused jumper wire to the battery, hit the hot side or you will blow the fuse if you hit the ground side.
If pump dont work you will need to do a voltage drop test, if pump does work you have a bad wire from the main relay or you didnt test the relay properly, you can just jumper the relay from hot wire to the fuel pump wire, I cant put pics on yet so do some research on the web or this forum.

Ok, then I've got something like it. 94 Prelude si. Starts fine first thing in am or when engine cool. Let it run awhile, warm up or drive and shut it down. Then it turns over fine, but will not start....seems like no fuel, but what am I missing. Engine heat affecting something?
Not that I noticed, I'll have to check the next time it happens. I really don't think it was. But the first time it kind of started the cel came on right away. From the replies I've received from other boards and such it seems that it might be heatsoke in the Msd
