Swap, won't start, getting spark and fuel... :(
I just replaced the engine in my civic and it won't start. Same engine used in swap. Both engines were running before they were removed. (one from a car with bad body damage, other from car with engine issues) I am getting spark and fuel. The main relay also seems to be fine. Any suggestions on what to try next?
I am thinking maybe the distributor (I had issues with one on my old Del Sol where I was getting a little spark but not enough to start)
What about timing? The replacement engine has been sitting in my garage for about 6 months but I didn't remove anything?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Could be timming. Did use your old dizzy or was one already on the new engine? If so, that might be your problem. You might not have it timmed right. Had this happen to me once or twice.
dizzy, ground on the BATTERY!! make sure your TPS and map sensors aren't switched up either it will start but run like **** if they're switched
I've checked all of the grounds, they're good (even sanded surfaces of the ground connector and the body)
Checked the ICM in distributor and replaced with one from another running engine.
All spark plugs are firing
There is gas in the fuel filter
There is gas in the fule rail
Fuel injectors are shooting out gas
I've checked the main relay, its good.
Is there a way to check the timing without the engine running? My haynes manual says to check when running, but it won't start!!!

I checked the compression (with the engine cold, because it won't start)
Here's what I got:
Cyl 1 - 45
Cyl 2 - 50
Cyl 3 - 75
Cyl 4 - 105
Haynes manual recommends 184 regular, 135 minimum. Should the compression be this low where the engine is cold?

Here you go this just happened to me last week. Pull out your dizzy and rotate the plug that goes into the head 180 degrees. I had this same problem last week the car had fuel and spark the timing was 180 out.

With compression numbers like that it will not fire and run. Is the cam properly timed to the crank?
it should have 120-180 PSI with less than 5% variation cyliner to cylinder.
