lost motion assemblies
when replacing the lma's what exactly has to be removed to get to them? do i need to remove the head or am i still able to to keep it on? do i need to remove the valves and valve springs?
say the cams, shafts, and arms are out. how do you actually remove the LMA? needlenose pliers? is there a trick? or should they just pull out with fingers?

They don't always just slide right out. Don't forget that they are covered in oil which makes them slipery plus that creats a bit of a suction in side the LMA bore. Just spin them and pull them at the same time and they should come out with little difficulty. Wipe the excess oil off them and that will help with grip. Don't go ripping on them with pliers unless you are replacing them anyway.
