Default difficulty taking off distributor harness clip

Car is a 96 Civic LX.

I'm replacing my distributor, read all the threads here for advice and how-to's.
Got the distributor off, but I can't for the life of me get the wiring harness off the distributor! I tried prying it off with a flathead screw driver and it budges a bit but doesnt come off!

Are there any tools that can help me?

The reason for replacing my distributor is that my car wont start. Checked everything and narrowed it down to the distributor. Could I just leave the harness in place and remove the section with the three phillips screws?

Please help!
-Brian.

If i understand correctly, you need to pull the harness clips off the harness posts(not sure what you call those points to where the harness plugs clip onto) Stick a flathead in the back side of the harness clip and lift not push and it should just slide out. hope this helps
