Default 2001 Civic Ex vs. 2002 Civic EX

I'm in the market for a pre-owned Civic EX. I am not sure what to look for to be honest with you. I searched around in both cars.com and autotrader.com and noticed that the prices for the 2001 model is considerably cheaper than the 2002 one.

What is the main difference between the two , if there is one. and also which one is a better model? I looked the "best Gen Civic" thread and noticed that the favorite GEN Civic here is the '94-95.

I'm not going to mod the car..it's just gonna be a stock for my wife to go from home to work (she's got a considerably long drive of 30 miles one way)

Thanks in advance!

yeah ... there isn't a big difference.

the 02 has a door where you cover the cup holders ... and a 3rd cup holder on the back of the center console (I don't know if the 01 has that)

that's about it I think.

Thanks for the replies.

How about the '00 model?? Since it's still a 6th Gen Civic..it would be a even better buy??

Thanks again!

kinks. the first model year will almost always have bugs (2001), you'd have to look through some TSBs but yeah, they're practically the same

although i support the 7thgens, the 2000 6th gens are just as good as a late model 7th gen...

Imho, the 6th gens look better, but that is just me. Doesn't matter which year you get. They are all reliable.

I really want one of these 'EP3s', as you call them. Looks a bit odd, but would be a big upgrade over my old coupe.
