How to fix a broken guage?

How to fix a broken guage?

I accidently pulled the arm off of this guage...is there a way to repair it? I tried to push the pin back in the hole but it wont stay. Any help would be appreciated.

You can go buy a new guage from honda.....seriously they cost no more than $30.

Yup, the temp/fuel gauge is the cheapest. Once the pin is pulled from the gauge, consider it trashed.

same thing happened to my sir temp needle. get a replacement because its broken. if you look closely you can see the other half in the cluster

i have a question about this too. i didnt snap my gauge but now that my car is pretty old (99 civic), the fuel gauge is starting to go. it first started about 2 months ago...it would go past full and stay there for like 5-10 minutes. but now it goes up there and stays like for hours sometimes so i gotta fill up the tank all the way and reset my mileage so i know to fill up everytime i hit around 300miles

(never taken it completely to empty so not sure how far I can go. 99 civic ex coupe d16y8, ej8) .

im guessing replacing it would be the best idea but i was wondering why it does this as well.

Could be the gauge, or could be a problem with the fuel sensor or sending unit as well.
