Default JDM b16a crx, NEEDS MORE POWER!!! Stage 2 cams require compression boost?

Well, I have a CRX with a : bi6a that's chipped, cat back exhaust, CAI,VAFC2,the car is slammed, so i think that installin headers in questionable. So I want to make my car go faster (all motor)So this is all that I figured out>

skunk 2 stage 2 cam's & cam gears, upgraded valve train , fly wheel

BUT alot of ppl recomend rising compression to acheive MAX POWER from cams.So how do u raise compression, is it by, better pistons, boring double head gasketti'n? if the answer for that is yes, then I prefer sticking with stage 1 or type r cams, whichever gives the bang for the $!!

yes stage 2s will like higher comp often people don't rasie it and are fine.

thinner headgasket or differnt pistons are 2 ways of changing your comp ratio.

if you wanted to bump the compression you could use CTR pistons..(or.. can you reshape the chamber on the cylinder head and get moe compression??)

(you'll gain a **** load more power if you get the head flowing better f.y.i)

Gasket, mill it, port it. Tune it.

I'd probably get headers before I got cams. In fact that is what I did. I bumped the compression by using ctr pistons and shaving the head a little though.

Before attempting something like this you really need to do more research. I'm not saying this to be rude, i'm serious. Just google "how does an engine work" and start reading, in the end, you'll comprehend what's going on in the combustion chamber and you'll understand all the things that need to be in place to increase the power of the explosion, rather than just knowing the names of random parts to throw money at.

- Raise the car a little
- get a header (theres no point in having a cat-back system if the first pipe it passes through is restrictive)
- Stage 1 cams, Skunk (or equivalent) I/M, chipped ECU **tuned for your engines setup** and a larger or bored out throttle body will help. (maxbore.com)

And theres no such thing as "boring double head gasketti'n?" LOL

Personaly I wouldn't mess with the cams and cylinders... you'll gain the most power from your head. Find a local Head builder give him a call and tell him what your goals with your car is, Hes more than likely Going to be able to hook you up. (remeber in order for a engine to make more power it has to flow well, So the better the flow, the better the responceyou will get from all your other aftermarket parts.)
