Default Accident waiting to happen

I purchased ITR 5 lug conversion for my ek and noticed one of the balljoint boot was busted. I installed the conversion and tested the balljoint by shifting the wheel with my arms up/down and left/right, it was holding up and decided to leave it as is and change it in the future when I had time. Recently I swaped wheels/tires and noticed my car felt funny while in motion. The car feels unstable when I exceed speed limit. I checked the tire pressure and its fine. The wheels are in good condition too. Could it be the balljoint? I never had this problem, what you guys/girls think is wrong?

I would have never driven on that. I will take pictures of a grand marquis tommorow at work and I will post them on here to show you why I would have never driven on a bad ball joint, or any bad front end part for that matter. Replace it.

Yeah I heard its very bad to drive on bad joints too. But I really didnt think a busted boot was that serious when I shook the wheel and it didnt budge. Its just recently I noticed this car is uncontrolable. I havent drove the car for a few days already. So thats the only possible reason why my car feels unstable?

Whether that caused it or not it is still a good idea to replace it. So do it, and then see how your car feels afterward.

how do you know it's not the balljoint?

it could be shocks, front LCA bushings, UCA balljoint, tie rod ends, alignment.

not a good enough test man. good enough for the upper ball joint but not the lower.

the only decent way to check it that I've found is to set the car on it's wheels, put a jack under the shock and slowly jack it up while watching the balljoint. You will see it move where it shouldn't.
Do this a few times at a coupe different angles just to make sure you're seeing everything right.
