So im looking around for paint shops and i stopped into good old macco and asked a few questions and i got a quote to paint my car champ. white and black roof and hood and trunk. For the "best' package with base + best clear + 5 year warranty it was 1800.

-shaved emblems front and rear
-shave spoiler holes
-black trunk
-black roof
-black hood (until cf or jdm front)
-door jams
-trunk jam

-NO body work ( dents etc)

Or should i go to a local mom and pop body shop that will take my car apart and do the same thing and get under the weather stripping and door sils and such.

 

thats a lot for a maaco job imo

 

honestly, i wouldnt look for the cheapest place to paint the car; do some research ask around and look for a quality place that produces a good product. If you spend the 1800 letting maaco paint your car; you are going to be pretty pissed of when you have get your care repainted a year later.

 

1800 is a lot for Maaco but a lot of people have gotten satisfactory results.

i got my car painted base and clear for 350 jus for paint no prep or anything. im satisfied but they messed up on a few place but not noticable

fog light wholes come stock painted its an ex or is it a dx

 

second of all the car had a grille and it was black i cut it out after the car was painted and there was no overspray on the car what so ever. thanks

thanks. but yea chris if u have the money for a good quality paint job go to somewhere like wilsons. if your low on cash and ur paints all crunked up then go to maaco they will do a good job if u pay for them to do a good job. you get what you pay for. the only reason u see shitty jobs at maaco is because people pay them shitty money. i mean 200 bucks is what most people pay to get their car painted at maaco. now if i got paid 200 to paint a car using my own paint id spray the car as it is and not prep it for **** because of the money i was getting but u get what im tryin to say

save your money do your search and paint your **** right.
