tb sticks
i just bought a stp tb or something like that. its a 68 mm tb and i had it mated to a skunk2 intake manifold on my gsr. the problem is that when i start it up the rpm shot up to 3000rpm and sat there. when i tap the gas it droped down to 2000rpm. i tried it again and then it shot up to 3500 rpm. i tried adjusting the setting screws but nothing worked. im planning on taking it apart. anyone have any suggetions

Is the throttle cable adjusted properly? What is your setup? If you aren't at around 400whp, why did you waste your money? Any CEL? I would say try to spray it down a touch with carb cleaner in the area where the movement is happening. Could just have been sitting for too long and needs some lube..
my buddy sold me the tb for 100 bucks so i couldnt pass up the deal. i just sprayed it down with carb cleaner and will find out if it fixed the problem. thanx for the advise i appricate it.

Some throttle bodies have strange ways the springs have to go in so be careful to take note of the position of everything if you decide to take it apart..
Good luck either way, sticky TBs suck..
