Help! ... My Story...
Alright so like last week wenesday I was leaving a Car meet here in Florida over at the UCF area... Everything was dandy, no racing i didn't hit it or anything. I hop on the Interstate 4(I-4) and right was I was 8 miles from the house.... BLAHHHHHHHHHHHH Car dies no CEL, no Oil light, juss turned off. I was in 5th just coasting home. My boy pulls up next to me and was like " WTF why are you driving slow?? " I told him my car isn't working so i drifted off to the side of I-4 and tried cranking the Car. It Turns and everything looks good as possible. I Get out to see if the car is pouring out Oil or smokine. NOPE! I remember this same feeling 2x. 1st time I blew my Tranny but while i was pulling off to the side, i was able to downshift into every gear. Anyways.... I kept trying to start the car.. it starts to Backfire like from Hell. One of those ROAD RANGER guys stopped behind me and Asked me Wassup. He told me that it looks like I jumped Timing... I Sat there being soo mad cause I couldn't figure out myself. I called one of my boys and he lucky had AAA. So we got my car Towed over to my house after waiting about an hour. Still trying to figure it out. FInally i got it home.
I popped the hood to check out my Timing... Everything was ok... Juss in case.. i kept trying to adjust my timing to BE FOR SURE. I checked my Plugs... It's Good.. Gas...Even Better... So there was Spark and Fuel but then What the Hell? I even made sure i had oil... I was low on oil but not to where my car would kill itself. So I had to go driving around my the Parentals G-Ride Van. My dad was out washing his car today and I'm looking at my car like i'm ready to sell it... Outta no where my dad goes " Did you check your Distributor?? " I told him... It's a fairly new why do i need to check it!? BUT then again Remember i said i had this Same feeling 2x. 2nd reason being the Screw came loose and fell off that connects inside the Distributor... " (Dang don't i feel dumb ) So i screw it back in.. put the cap back on the Distb. and BAM! Car Starts but sounds like my car is some Volvo when pressed on the gas.!
Idle is Good but if i press the gas seems like there's no power untiil 5000 and up? So i take it my Timing is off? This is where i'm lost. My Tensioner bolt is tight as possible but my belt flaps around like it's ready to go fly off?
What should i Do? New Belt? Tensioner? Anyone Local willing to help me out. I need HELp!!

when the tension bolt is loose , try to push the tensoiner to where the belt becomes tight then hold it in place and tighten it , I have never had this happen but i know that the tensioner is helped by a spring , it mabe that the spring came off .
the tensioner should be on a bolt... you loosen that bolt but don't take it out and push the tensioner twords the exhaust maifold as far as you can.. then tighten the bolt back down.. if your belt is still loose it might be stretched in that case get a new belt
